Today, I am using up a few of my fall crafting supplies♥ to create a Christmas Tag for the TGIF Project Challenge. The theme this week is “Tag You”re It” and I couldn’t resist adding my little project to the challenge. It may seem odd to use “fall” papers and dies for the holidays, but this little tag wouldn’t be what is is without them.
This is a super simple project for you to make. Below, you will find some step-by-step instructions accompanied by a process video♥ showing you how to create some Gold Leaf Christmas Tags of your own.
You will begin by cutting out a Charcoal paper Tag Shape, a Gold Foil Leaf, and a Candy Apple Circle. (If you were lucky enough to get some of the Fancy Tag Thin Cuts last year, you can use the large 4″ stitched tag, like I did. If you don’t have this die, you can use another one you might own or cut a tag in Design Space™.) After cutting all of your pieces, you will need to heat emboss the “December 25th” sentiment.
Stamp the image using White Daisy Pigment Ink, sprinkle the image with White Embossing Powder, and heat with a heat tool.
I used my fingers to fold up each one of the leaves slightly, then attached the gold foil leaves to the tag with Liquid Glass.
Layer the Candy Apple circle with the sentiment onto the corner of the tag using a foam dot for dimension. I love how that Candy Apple pops off the Charcoal paper. Add some Gold Gems and a Bow for embellishment and the tag is complete.
Like I said, this was a very simple project to make♥ and can be altered using any paper or cardstock of your choice. If you would like to watch me create this tag, you can view the process video below.
Thank you for stopping by. I hope you were inspired by today’s creation and learned something new. Please feel free to comment below if you have any questions.
♥I can’t wait to see what you create!
