Creating a Card Full of My Favorite Fall Things

For the Color My Heart Color Dare Blog

Coffee, colorful leaves, & sweater weather.β™₯ All things I love about fall.πŸ‚ This week, at the Color My Heart Dare blog, we are asking you to join another challenge using the Hawthorn color palette. You can chose any row, column, diagonal, or a combination of colors in your creation.

I chose to use Sangria, Charcoal, Saffron and Toffee on my Fall Favorites card today. Many of the products I used are retiring at the end of this month – I especially LOVEβ™₯ these Layered Leaves Thin Cuts.

I have also gotten quite a bit of use out of the Perk Up set. This coffee lover can’t resist a good set of coffee loving stamps.β™₯ I just went to town on this card using up all of my Hawthorn scraps. After creating the background with the Build a Plaid set, I began adding layer after layer until I felt the card was complete. I even threw in a few Vellum die-cuts for fun.

I hope that this card has inspired you to join the Color My Heart Color Dare challenge. If you have a few minutes, stop by and check out the other current challenges.
β™₯I can’t wait to see what you create!

    1. Thank you, Cat. I am just starting to learn how to use the Plaid stamp set. It takes some getting used to, but it creates some beautiful backgrounds.

  1. I have been resisting those thin cut leaves but they look really really great… you’re enticing me into wanting my own set. I love all the layers you’ve got going into this card. Such a work of heART ❀

    1. I posted a video today showing multiple ways to use them. You don’t want to wait too long. They are selling fast.

  2. This is awesome! So many layers and the vellum plus the leaf dies are a perfect backdrop for the cup of coffee. Haven’t pulled out the Build a Plaid set yet – may just be time to do that!
