Falling in Love with Non-Traditional Colors
When we think of fall colors, we tend to lean towards the burnt orange, toffee, and deep olive tones, but I have this one friend who happens to love “all things purple”♥. Thinking about her made me wonder, “What about fall in a shade of purple??” We have this beautiful New Wisteria color that is being ignored this season, so I decided that it was time to start creating Autumn in Wisteria.
So what do you think? Autumn in shades of Wisteria, Eggplant, Julip, and Evergreen with a touch of plaid. That Mix-In paper reminds me of soft flannel♥ and I felt it was the perfect addition to this card. Not your traditional fall array, but perfect for the Double Trouble Mad For Plaid challenge.
This week, Double Trouble is teaming up with Use Your Stuff, so I just hopped over there and added my creation to that blog, too. Hey, why not? People need to see that Purple is a great color for fall.♥
I hope you were inspired by today’s creation and that you take the time to stop by each of these challenge blogs this week. You will be inspired to create something new and, hopefully, join the challenges.
♥ I can’t wait to see what you create!
What a great non-traditional color fall card…so pretty with the Wisteria frame and love that you included that panel of plaid to join us at Double Trouble and our partnering with Use Your Stuff. I haven’t used this color yet; but you have inspired me to start using the new colors. Gorgeous card and really glad you hopped over to our challenge and would love you to follow us and share your beautiful cards at Double Trouble’s future fun challenges and other partners.
Thank you, Suzanne for such kind words. You will love the new colors. I was unsure of them myself, but I am really starting to enjoy them.
