SOTM Blog Hop
Welcome to the Random Acts of Cardness September SOTM Blog Hop where we will be featuring our Random Acts of Cardness stamp set. If you have come here from Melinda Everitt’s blog, you are on the right path!♥ When you are finished reading my post, you can click on the link at the end to move to the next blog. This blog hop is simple, fun, and full of artwork created by some very talented consultants. If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog.
True Story: When I first showed the Share the Seasons Thin Cut to my husband he said, “That looks like a window”, which, at first, caused me to want to protest, but then it sparked an idea. Gotta love the man for his simplicity of seeing things as they are. This “window” made the perfect backdrop for my Dose of Happy card.
Fall colors bring joy to my heart♥ and this sentiment is the perfect complement to the showing of those feelings through a window full of color. The base of this card was a simple piece of White Daisy cardstock that I stenciled with a layer of clouds. I layered that onto a piece of Kraft paper and began creating my trees.
The two trees were cut on my Cricut™ from Watercolor paper using one of our NEW Family Tree SVG images. After shading each of the images with Watercolor Paints, I layered each of the trees using some Thin 3D Foam Tape. I adore how well the colors play with each other in the layers of leaves. ♥
Once the “window” was added, I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of Vellum, wrapped it with White Burlap Ribbon and attached it to the card. Honestly, I could have used just about any sentiment from the Random Acts of Cardness stamp set. It is one of those “must have” stamp sets that I will be using over and over again.
Now ‘Hop” on over to Alyson Mayo ’s blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their blogs to get some great crafting tips and other fun ideas.
