A Card That’s Tickled Pink for the H2H Challenge

PINK. You either love it or you avoid it. Pair it with Black, White, and Grey and you have a classical look that most of us adore. What is your opinion of pink?  For those who prefer to use this color sparingly, I urge you to step outside your comfort zone and join us at the Heart2Heart Challenge.   This week, we are asking you to create a project using Pink, Grey, Black, and White. 65179979_10156682916148089_6253067930200702976_o.jpg

I, like many of you, do not use Pink very often. When you look through my collection of paper, you will not find many pink shades, but, since I have asked you to “step outside your comfort zone”, I am going to do the same. I started by digging through the patterns in our Mix In paper packet, and found a few to use on my Best Day Ever card.  MissCarriesCreations-BestDayFlowerCard.jpg

I started with our White Card Base, and adhered a few layers of Mix In papers onto it using Thin Foam Tape.  The papers are sized a 3″x 5¼” and 1″ x 5¼” with a ¼” piece of Black Glitter paper in-between.

I created a three-dimensional flower cut from Ballerina cardstock with the Stitched Flowers Thin Cuts. After assembling the flower, I place a Button Die Cut in the center, that had been threaded with White Twine. MissCarriesCreations-BestDayFlowerCard-Flower.jpg

these Thin Cuts, you can view it HERE

The sentiment was created using a 1″ x 1½” piece of White Daisy cardstock that was stamped with a saying from the August Stamp of the month.  I layered it atop a piece of Black Glitter paper, and attached it to the card with Silver Embellishing Thread.

A few Black Dots and Silver Gems, and the card was complete. So what do you think?♥  I hope that it has inspired you to join us for this month’s challenge at Heart2Heart. You have until August 31st to link up your creation to this challenge. While you are there, make sure to check out the other monthly challenges and be inspired by each of the amazing creations.

♥ I can’t wait to see what you create!
