As many of you know, the Share the Joy special is ending on July 31st, and, if you are like me, you might have a pile of circles leftover after using this Thin Cut. This die appears to be created for card making, and I did use it for quite a few cards like my Fourth of July card, BUT, I also found a way to create a scrapbook border using the same die.
I have honestly enjoyed playing with the Share the Joy collection, but amongst all of the projects lies a “little” pile of circles crying out to be used. So, what do I do? I use them to make flowers.♥
Yes, flowers. These adorable folded gems seemed like the perfect solution for using up my ever-growing pile of circles. They are simple to make and can be layered in a variety of ways to create simple, origami-isk flowers. Here is how it is done:
Fold each circle, as shown, then place them side-by-side in a half-circle or full circle shape. Add a brad, button, or wooden shape in the middle and you have a flower. I kept my card super-simple. I plan on sending it to a new mommy friend who is currently enjoying the “joys” of pregnancy.
After creating the flowers, I assembled them onto some True Love paper, added some printed text from the Into the Wild Collection, then a bit of Burlap Ribbon and gems. I even found a sentiment to used from the Bear Hug stamp of the month. (FYI: This stamp set will also be gone on July 31st.)
I hope that this card has helped you to find a way to use up your pile of circles (or chads as some like to call them) and that it inspires you to create something new. ♥ Don’t forget, the Share the Joy Thin Cuts & Stamp sets will retire July 31st, as well as the Bear Hugs stamp set. If they are one your wish list, make sure you order them before they disappear.

♥ I can’t wait to see what you create!!
Carrie, You are remarkable in your ability to create with scraps and ‘left-overs’….a true artistic talent. Those flowers are so cute and perfect for your card. Thank you for all your ‘sharing’!
You are so sweet. Honestly, I hate having leftovers and I hate throwing things away even more, so I figure out how to use them. I was laughing the other day, because my adult boys are the same way. They will figure out ways to repurpose anything. 🤣
