Into the Wild Layout for the Heart2Heart Design Challenge

It’s Into the Wild with Heart2Heart, and I can’t wait to show you what I created. Before I do, I wanted to remind you that these challenges are open to everyone throughout the entire month. To enter, simply link the design that you created with CTMH products to your blog or online gallery and link it back to this Heart2Heart challenge. It’s so easy.

For the Into the Wild challenge, I decided to step outside the box a little bit.  I feel that there are times we won’t purchase a product because of the name, or, because of how we see it being used. Today, and I going to show you a few different ways that you can use some of our Close to My Heart products and maybe you will join me outside the box.

Here is the layout I created using our Into the Wild products. As you can see below, the Into the Wild products “appear” to be designed for adventures and baby boy projects. Do you see any of those themes in my layout?

Of course not. I chose papers that would complement my photos.♥ The blue tones and star patterns were perfect for a patriotic, small town parade. I added the star die cuts, a cute saying sticker, and a portion of a title from the complements.  Not a single one being used as intended. Do you want to know what else I used “outside the box”?  Our Share the Joy Thin Cut die.

I carefully cut a solid border by placing my die onto the cutting plates in a way that the die would not cut through in the center and create a solid piece. This took a little time, but the outcome is adorable. I wanted the border to appear like a shaker element, but did not want all of the sequins to shake to the bottom of the page. I decided to glue the sequins in place so that they appeared to be randomly moving on the page. How fun is that?!

So, here are my challenges to you, my friend.

  1. Share one of your creations at the Heart2Heart blog or at least stop by and be inspired by some lovely artwork.
  2. Think outside the box a little. Just because the paper suite has a specific title or a die was used for cards, doesn’t mean you can use it some other way.

I hope that this layout inspires you to get your photos off your phone and onto a page. Record those memories and share your creations with us at the Heart2Heart blog.

♥ I can’t wait to see what you create!!
