This blog hop is simple, fun, and full of artwork created by some very talented consultants.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog.

I was elated when I read that we were bringing back our Seaside papers and stamp set as a monthly special. The rustic, ocean side patterns have a vintage feel and the stickers are reminiscent of boardwalks years ago.  After looking through kit, I decided that I would focus on the Seaside Greeting stamp set and use it to recreate a card I made when I first became a consultant. MIssCarriesCreations-SeasideBlogHopCard.jpg

I kept the details of the card super simple so that I could focus on that lovely image. After stamping the Boat with Intense Black Ink on French Vanilla cardstock, I created a mask so that I could stamp the clouds to make them appear as if they were floating behind the Sailboat. (I will be posting a video showing this technique in my VIP group next week.) I then used my Watercolor Pencils to shade the sky, the clouds, the ocean and the boat.

After I was finished, I discovered that I was not fond of the French Vanilla Sails, so I stamped the Boat image onto some White Daisy cardstock, cut out the sails, and paper-pieced them onto the image. I layered the image onto some Candy Apple cardstock which was placed upon Seaside paper. I used my Watercolor Pencils to dye the White Ribbon and wrapped it with some White Burlap Ribbon along the base of the card.

Now ‘Hop” on over to Brenda Lapp’s blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their blogs to get some great crafting tips and other fun ideas. Remember, the Seaside Papers, Stickers, Cardstock, and Stamp Set are only available until August 31st, while supplies last.  Contact your CTMH Consultant, or visit the Promotions tab of my website to view all of the amazing products we have in this collection.

I can’t wait to see what you create!
