Sail Away with the Making Waves Heart2Heart Challenge

One of my goals this year was to step outside my comfort zone (in my teal crafting chair), and, this month, I did just that by joining the Heart2Heart Design Team.  I am thrilled to join such a talented group of ladies and hope that each creation challenges you to try something new.  So……are you ready for another challenge? This month, we are Making Waves at Heart2Heart.

To me, making waves meant being able to use the beautiful shades of our Seaside papers to create this multi-layered card that reflects the sea. It brought back memories of a trip my husband surprised me with to the San Francisco Bay many years ago. The old world eccentricity of the “non-tourist” hidden treasures is something I’ll never forget. MissCarriesCreations-SailAwayThankYouCard-H2HI started with a Tag created using our Fancy Tag Thin cuts, and added a layer of Clear Mat Texture Paste shaded in Almond. After heat embossing the boat image, I placed it onto another tag, then adhered the tags onto a Vellum Doily.

The rest of the card included adding a few stickers, a stamped sentiment, and some Gold Embellishing Thread & Gems. I hope that this card has inspires you to join the Heart2Heart challenge this month.  Don’t forget to stop by the blog for even more inspiration and link up your Make Waves creations before July 31st.

♥ I can’t wait to see what you create!
