“Pocket Power” Technique Blog Hop

Welcome to the Pocket Power Technique Blog Hop where we will be featuringMissCarriesCreations-PocketPowerBH.jpg various interactive techniques using our Close to My Heart Flip Flaps, Pocket Pages, and more! If you have come here from Danielle Wagner’s blog, you are on the right path! When you are finished reading my post, you can click on the link at the end to move to the next blog. This blog hop is simple, fun, and full of ideas.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melissa’s Blog.

Flip-Flaps are one the the best scrapbooking inventions!  I love how I can use them to add more photos, journaling or memorabilia to a scrapbook page. There are so many times these little gems have saved me. This week, I decided to take advantage of a few of our Flip-Flaps to add more photos to this Craft with Heart Kit. Let me first show you what the original page is supposed to look like.  This pre-cut, ready-to-assemble kit is one that you can get through our Craft with Heart subscription. Each month, you have two beautifully designed kits mailed to you that you can use to display your photos. MissCarriesCreations-CraftwithHeartMakingMemoriesKitAs you can see, the layout about has a place for journaling your story, but I just happened to have more photos then there were places for (this happens often). I decided that, instead of tossing out a fun photo, I would use a 4″ x 6″ Flip-Flap to place on top of the journaling spot. This allows me to use both the photo and the space designated to record my story.

This silly story about these girls involved quite a few photos that I wanted to showcase, but I hate having to create a second layout for a few more photos, so I chose to use a 3″ x 4″ Flip-Flap instead. This gave me a space to add two additional photos.

If you have never used our Flip-Flaps before, you simply remove the protective strip and apply to Flip-Flap directly to your Memory Protector. You don’t need to cut or glue anything in place and it creates an amazing interactive element for your page.

Now ‘Hop” on over to Lauren Moore’s blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their blogs to get some great crafting tips and other fun ideas. Don’t forget, this current Craft with Heart Kit is only available through August 31st with a Craft with Heart subscription.  Contact your CTMH Consultant, or visit the Subscription tab of my website to order yours.
