Crafting for the 4th of July

I am enamored by all the paper patterns in this new Seasonal Expressions Idea Book, and I especially love how they match some of our past collections. Recently, I have been working on a few home decorations for the Fourth of July. Can you guess which paper suites I have been playing with?

This adorable piece uses patterns from our Into the Wild paper collection and, a blast from the past, Stargazer. The minute I saw the Sapphire Blue Star pattern in this paper packet, I knew that I wanted to use it for the Fourth of July.

Don’t you just love it?? I found the wooden blocks on Foundations Decor and just “had to ” have them along with a few other pieces that I will show-off at a later date. I was able to add a few additional details using our Sapphire Blue Crochet Thread, a Red Shimmer Brush and the Timeless Textures stamp set.  I topped the whole thing off with a Candy Apple Bow.

I enjoyed this project so much, that I am hosting a workshop at the end of June for my local friends. I know there are a few of you out there who would love to come make one of these.  If you don’t live locally, I hope that this little project inspires you to create one of your own. I am not an affiliate of Foundations Decor, but I truly love using their products with our papers to dress up my home, and I know you will, too.

I can’t wait to see what you create!
