We all have the best intentions to create something for our guests each holiday, but there are times when the chaos of life prevents us from doing so. Today, I am going to show you how to make a quick, easy, last minute♥ Easter Ghirardelli Treat using our sweet Zoe papers. These papers are only available during the month of April and are perfect for creating spring projects.
When I plan quick and easy projects, I plan them like I plan our family meals – Less than ten ingredients, under thirty minutes, minimal tools required, and everyone asks for more. These little Easter Ghirardelli Treats fit that to a t.♥ Below you will find a simple set of instructions to create your own and be able to view the complete list of supplies I used on this project at the very bottom of this post.
Paper Needed: 8″ x 2¼” Canary Cardstock, 2″ x 2¼” Zoe Paper, 2″ x 1¾” Zoe Paper,
2″ x ¼” Zoe Paper, White Daisy cardstock scraps
Assembly Instructions:
1. Score the 8″ x 2¼” Canary Cardstock along the long edge at 2″, 2¼”, and 5½”.
2. Using a Bone Folder, fold at each of the score lines to create a “matchbook”.
3. Using a Large Scallop Decorative Border Thin Cut, create a curved edge on the “flap” of the Canary cardstock Matchbook and the 2″ x 2¼” Zoe Paper.
4. Adhere each of the Zoe papers onto the Canary cardstock Matchbook.
5. Using a 2¼” Stitched Oval Thin Cut, cut out an oval from White Daisy cardstock.
6. Stamp the “Some Bunny Loves You” sentiment onto the center of the oval using Carolina Ink. (If you would like, you can create a mask for the image to prevent the scallops from appearing on the oval. Here is a great tutorial for masking.)
7. Using a Mint Shimmer Brush, brush color along the edge of the oval, then adhere it to the Flap using 3D Foam Tape.
8. Using the RockNRoll method, apply Toffee & Espresso Ink onto the Bunny image and stamp onto White Daisy cardstock.
9. Cut out the Bunny image and adhere to the Canary cardstock Matchbook using 3D Foam Tape. (You will apply tape only to the bottom portion of the Bunny. The top of the Bunny is what will hold the flap closed without adhesive.)
How easy was that!?♥ Simple, fun, and done. Now all you have to do is add the Ghirardelli squares that you have left to the inside of the Easter Ghirardelli Treat holder and “Wow” your guests. These would also make adorable treats for a Mother’s Day Tea or Spring Wedding favors. Your imagination is your only limit.
