I am so glad to see that we are focusing on some ♥fresh spring colors♥ at the Color My Heart Dare Blog, because I have spent the last week on a weather roller coaster. I was full of excitement packing away my sweaters at the beginning of the week with a 65º glimpse of spring, only to drag them out again during a mid-week blizzard. HELLO crazy!
During the snowing and blowing, these ♥bright shades of spring♥ called out to me, and, as you can see, I used the full array of colors to create this charming Make a Wish card. (Why using only three when you have a whole palette to play with?)
In all honesty, it was a very simple card to create using our sweet Dandelion Wishes stamp set and So Much Happy paper. The stamp set lends to ♥so many possibilities♥ with the Dandelion fluffs, miniature flowers, and sentiments. When I first spied this set in the catalog, I HAD TO have it – though considered a weed by most, dandelion fluffs are one of my favorite “flowers”.
After creating a stitched background of Almond cardstock and Lagoon paper, I heat embossed the sentiment using White Embossing powder. I also add a few of those cute little “fluffs” next “Wish” to make the sentiment stand out a bit.
Each of the Dandelion images was stamped onto a Stitched Square backed with Almond cardstock and placed onto the card using Thin Foam Tape. It is difficult to see, but I brushed a little Gold Shimmer onto each square before stamping the images.
Whether you are experiencing wonky temperatures this week or enjoying the warm sun, I hope that this Make a Wish card ♥inspires you to create♥ something new for the Color My Heart Color Dare challenge.
♥I can’t wait to see what you create!
