I will have to admit that I have fallen head-over-heels for the Love Blossoms stamp set. Not only do you get those gorgeous flowers, but the stamp set includes a full sheet of sentiment stamps.  In honor of the upcoming holiday and approaching spring season, I decided to create a this Lucky Friendship card that, I feel, is simply sublime. MissCarriesCreations-LuckyYourMyFriendCard.jpgThe background for this card was created using a Glacier Gingham pattern paper that was stitched with Silver Embellishing Thread.  I did this to match the stitching on the frame and the loop of thread I would be adding to the Rose image. I then stamped the “Lucky” sentiment onto the paper using Pewter Ink and added a White Frame using 3D Foam Tape

Using VersaMark™ Ink, I stamped the Rose onto Vellum and heat embossed the image using White Embossing Powder.  I chose to leave my image opaque, but you could use the background image from the stamp set or ShinHan Markers to add color to the back of vellum and give your card a completely different lookMissCarriesCreations-LuckyYourMyFriendCardSide.jpgAfter cutting out the image, I began to wonder how I was going to attach the flower to the card without the adhesive showing. I realized that quite a few veins in the leaves were pretty thick, and I could hide a small strip of 3D Foam Tape behind each one. I think it worked out perfectly. MissCarriesCreations-LuckyYourMyFriendCardInside

Remember how I told you about those fantastic sentiments that come with the Love Blossoms stamp set? Well, these amazing stamps are designed to “complete” your sentiment inside the card. I love stamp sets that do this for me!
