St. Patrick’s Day Inspiration ~ A Color My Heart Dare Challenge

We have a new challenge for you at Color My Heart Dare. This time, we are asking you be inspired by this St. Patrick’s Day mood board and create something that reminds you of this upcoming “Irish” holiday.

When my children were young, St. Patrick’s Day was celebrated with Leprechaun traps, gold candy, glittery foot prints, and a huge meal. Now that they are grown, we still have a family meal, but the red bearded folks aren’t as keen on the glitter. I am still enamored by all that sparkles and was inspired by all the clover images to ♥create a Thank You card in Design Space™♥ using images from our CTMH Cricut™ Collections.

I like adding various textures and layers on my projects, so I chose to use Watercolor paper for the sentiment and flowers. After they were cut, I used a Watercolor Pencil and Waterbrush to shade each of the images. Being able to add that little bit of color gave the ♥look of “gold”♥ without overpowering the card. As an added layer, I made my Clovers three-dimensional by “slicing” the images in Design Space™, then folding them before attaching to the card.

I added a simple Gold and Green Butterfly image, a Kraft paper wreath and layered it atop Gold Foil paper and Clover cardstock. ♥Simple, sweet, and ready to send off.♥
