Valentine Treats & Color Dare Inspiration

This week, at Color My Heart Dare, you have been given a beautiful Valentine’s Day Mood Board to use as inspiration for your project. I personally found this a creative way to showcase some colors that you might not consider for the holiday.  These current color combinations are very popular right now, so it should be easy for you to create something delightful for this challenge.

I found it to be quite a coincidence that most of the colors match the products in our Heart Happy collection. The combination of teal, red and pink go well together and inspired me to create this gift of Red Hot Valentine Treats.

I found my jars in the Target, but there were not many left when I went. You could consider purchasing these sweet little Pink Lids from Amazon and using them with some jars you already own or fill these adorable Pink Tumblers with candy instead.

No matter what you decide to fill with candy, once you have filled your jar, use some cute papers and Gold & White Twine to decorate the lid, and begin creating your tag using our Fancy Tags Thin Cuts.

To create my tag, I used a variety of Fancy Tags cut from the Heart Happy papers and some Candy Apple cardstock stitched and layered with Thin 3D Foam Tape.

The sentiment on the tag, as well as the hearts, were from our A Piece of My Heart stamp set. There are quite a few sentiments on that set that would work for your tag.

To finish it off, I tied a bow using the White & Gold Twine that had been wrapped around my lid, and added a simple little Gold Heart Clip.

This Red Hot Valentine Treat is a very simple project, but is bound to make your Valentine happy this year.  I hope you have been inspired to create your own Red Hot Valentine Treat and hope that you join us for this Color My Heart Dare Challenge.

I can’t wait to see what you create!
