If you took the time to read about my New Year’s Changes last week, you may have seen that I will be offering monthly Crop, Craft, & Create classes where you can come create scrapbook pages while learning some new paper crafting techniques. Today, I wanted to give you a little preview of what we will be creating on February 22nd.

For our Crop, Craft, & Create class, we will be making scrapbook layouts using the Something Fierce papers (yes, the cute dinosaur ones) and learning how to use Flip-Flaps, Pocket Pages, and how to stamp images on scrapbook pages. Your kit will include the the Something Fierce supplies shown below and you will have the option to purchase that adorable Erin’s Hand Stamp set at a 10% discount.
If you take a look at each of the pages, you may think that these pages won’t quite match your current photos or that your are disappointed at the lack of dinosaurs. Well, don’t be disappointed, friends. When you come to my workshop, I will be showing you ways to use this kit as a springboard for creating unique layouts to match your personal photos. Let me show you what I mean.
When you look at the original layout above you can see that it is primarily a blue and red palette, and, while I liked how the blue helped focus on the boys in my photos, I needed to add a little bit more to this design to match my theme. Here is what I did.
As you can see, I changed mine “just a bit” by adding some elements of green to match the Jungle Mobile they visited. By using alternative Complements, Cut-Apart images, and PML cards , I was able to adjust this layout to match my photos.
I plan on showing even more of my changes to these layouts at my February Crop, Craft, and Create class. I will also be Five Dollar Friday Fun Class, so that my long distance customers can see some of the changes I made to each of these layouts and inspire you when you make your’s.
