12 Days of Christmas Creations ~ Soft Candlelit Silhouette

Today, we continue with my 12 Days of Christmas Creations and find ourselves once again playing with the Cricut® to create this Candlelit Snow Scene. I honestly enjoyed this project because it was simple to create and the results are breathtaking. I wish the photos could show you how lovely it looks in a dark room, all lit up by the electric candle.

Once again, I used our Season of Joy Cricut® Collection to make a Snow Scene to fit inside my glass vase. I used the Silent Night image and welded a few of the layers together. Due to the size of my vase, the scene needed to be 15″ long. Since I don’t currently own a 24″ mat, I had to “cut” my Snow Scene into two separate images and glue them together to create a scene long enough to wrap inside.

Once the Snow Scene was complete, I inserted it into the vase. The Gold Insert behind it is a sheet of All About the Gold Fundamentals (currently on clearance) that I trimmed to the correct height. I chose to use the large Polka-Dot pattern because those gold dots hid my Glue Dots well, but you could use any of the patterns from this pack and attach the ends with clear cello tape. (don’t forget to pull off the protective film)

I am all about keeping projects simple, so I chose to wrap some White & Gold Skinny Ribbon around the top of the vase a few times, and embellish with a Paper Snowflake and Fabric Covered Button.

Project complete! You could change this design by choosing a different paper to cut your Snow Scene, using Vellum instead of Gold Fundamentals, or even creating paper greenery for the outside.

I hope that you enjoyed Day Three of our 12 Days of Christmas Creations adventure and that you return tomorrow for more crafty fun. I can’t wait to see what you create!
