A Simply Handmade Christmas Card for Color Dare Challenge

For this week’s Color My Heart Dare Challenge, we were asked to create a project using Kraft, New England Ivy, and Candy Apple.  When I first saw this color combination, it reminded me of simple, handmade Christmas decorations like the ones I have in my home, so I decided to create my card with the same theme.

Clean  ♥   Simple  ♥  Handmade

I chose to use Toffee and New England Ivy to create the tree image with our Seasonal Trees stamp of the month. Once the tree was compete, I used VersaMark™ Ink and White Embossing Powder to create two layers of snow.  It’s a bit hard to see in this photo, but the subtlety of the two layers of snow adds to the texture on this card.

I wanted a bold sentiment, so I chose a stamp from our Christmas Blessings stamp set to to stamp “Merry Christmas” in Candle Apple.

Clean, simple, and handmade. Everything I love about Christmas.  I would like to see you create something for this week’s Color My Heart Dare Challenge.  Just use these three colors to create something and post your creation on the Color My Heart Dare website.

  1. The Merry Christmas stamp is perfect sizing for your Christmas tree. Great use of the colours in the challenge too.
