For this week’s Color My Heart Dare Challenge, we were asked to create a project using Kraft, New England Ivy, and Candy Apple. When I first saw this color combination, it reminded me of simple, handmade Christmas decorations like the ones I have in my home, so I decided to create my card with the same theme.
Clean ♥ Simple ♥ Handmade
I chose to use Toffee and New England Ivy to create the tree image with our Seasonal Trees stamp of the month. Once the tree was compete, I used VersaMark™ Ink and White Embossing Powder to create two layers of snow. It’s a bit hard to see in this photo, but the subtlety of the two layers of snow adds to the texture on this card.
I wanted a bold sentiment, so I chose a stamp from our Christmas Blessings stamp set to to stamp “Merry Christmas” in Candle Apple.
Clean, simple, and handmade. Everything I love about Christmas. I would like to see you create something for this week’s Color My Heart Dare Challenge. Just use these three colors to create something and post your creation on the Color My Heart Dare website.
I can’t wait to see what you create!

Carrie I love you card. The top and bottom borders really draw your eye to the middle of the card. The stamped bird on the ground is so cute!
I just love that little bird. Thank you for the compliments. 😀
Stunning card!! I love the layers of snow and the bird on the ground.
Thank you Cat. I had fun making this one especially the bird. 😀
The Merry Christmas stamp is perfect sizing for your Christmas tree. Great use of the colours in the challenge too.
Thank you Vandra. It is one of my favorite stamp sets.
