This blog hop is simple, fun, and full of ideas using our Shaker Card products. If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melissa’s Blog.

Shaker cards are one of my favorite projects to create and our new product line makes them so much simpler to make. There is no fussing with cutting acetate or foam tape, no need to search for the perfect circle dies, and we even have a way to make your own confetti.

For this Blog Hop, I chose to create a beautifully layered Shaker Thank You card using our Grateful Heart Papers and Complements. As you can see, I used almost every paper from this amazing collection of patterns. Each paper is unique and beautiful in it’s own right and each complements the other so well.

Once, I had decided on my background patterns, I wanted to add a little more texture. I had already planned on using  the Gold Sequins for my Shaker, so I decided add some Gold Stitching to my background using our Stitch Guide.

Once the background on the card was complete, I began building the Shaker. Aren’t those little owls adorable? I cut those from the PML Cut-Apart sheet, adhered them to a circle (cut with the Shaker Thin Cuts), then added my Foam Circle, and the Gold Sequin.

DESIGNER TIP: To prevent static in your shaker, use the Anti-Static Pouch on the Background before adding your sequins. I also use the Anti-Static Pouch on my Acetate after I remove the protective film.

The Circle Frame has a delightful stitching pattern, which I chose to enhance with some more Gold Stitches. I like how this stitching makes the shaker frame “pop” off the card.  Once I added the Shaker to my card, I was able to begin adding embellishments from my collection of Grateful Heart Complements(♥♥)

Once I was finished, I realized it needed a little something more, so I grabbed a few Gold Sequins from the bag and adhered them to my card. I love when I can use a product for more than it is intended.
