Today is one of my favorite holidays. It’s a time to show love to those you care about, a time to be selfless and share your heart with others, and the day I grow another year older. Take a little time today to show someone in your life how much you care for them and remember how blessed you are to have those people in your life.
This week, I joined the Color Dare Bashful, Kraft, and Gold Challenge as well as the Heart2Heart Make it From Your Heart Sketch Challenge. If you wish to recreate this card for someone you care about, you can find the list of supplies I used at the very bottom of this post.
For the Heart2Heart Challenge we were required to create a card from one of our How-To Books. These books are absolutely amazing! I came across a card sketch on page 27 of the Make It From Your Heart Volume #4 book, and immediately wanted to reproduce the background for my card. Since the Color My Heart Dare Challenge limited my colors to Bashful, Kraft, and Gold, I choose to use both sides of the Bashful cardstock and Bashful Glitter paper to create the striped background. To add even more texture, I drew stripes onto the darker side of the Bashful cardstock with our Chalk Marker.
