During the month of May, you will be able to see many  projects using the Live Beautifully collection. This week, I used the beautiful Rose patterned paper to create a vintage looking border on my layout.  As always, I’ve included a list of the products I used to create this card at the very bottom of this post.

Paper Needed: 12″ x 12″ Black Cardstock, 11½” x 11¼” Whisper Cardstock,  12″ x 6″ B&T Paper (I used the Rose),  6½” x 9″ B&T Paper (I used the Script), 3″ x 9″ B&T Paper (I used the Pale Pink Ombre),  ½” x 9″ B&T Paper (I used the Pink Deco), 7½” x 5½” B&T Paper (I used the Black & White Dots)

Here are a few techniques I used on this layout:

  • The Rose B&T paper border was cut with scissors around various flowers and leaves just like you would do if you were going to create a Découpage.
  • The journalling is on the tag insert. I created a taLiveBeautifullyHeritageLayout_Tagg from various scraps, then looped some White Twine through a hole.
  • The title was created on the Cricut® using the Harrington text.
QUICK TIP FOR PERFECT TITLE PLACEMENT:  Create the text in Design Space® and arrange them on the canvas exactly how you plan to space them on your page.  Use the attach feature to ‘ATTACH’ the word to the canvas. This will cut them in the exact spot you placed them.  After the letters are cut out, keep the background to use as a mask for letter placement and your title will look perfect. LiveBeautifullyHeritageLayout_Title

  1. Stunning! I love the fussy cutting on my favorite paper in the collection. The tag is perfect too!

  2. Your LO is absolutely beautiful! I love how you fussy-cut the flower B&T. Thanks for the design space tips for letter placement too.
