Having a small bit of Irish blood (from my grandmother) is something I am proud of and celebrating St. Patrick’s Day is almost as fun as celebrating Christmas. I made this little treat box for this week’s Color My Heart Dare and plan to make more to give to family and friends this week. At the very bottom of this post, I’ve included a list of the products I have used to create this project.
Paper Needed: (2)2¾” x 2¾” B&T Paper (I used Hello Lovely), (2)2¾” x 1″ B&T (I used Hello Lovely), 3″ x 3″ Cardstock (I used New England Ivy), 3″ x 3″ Cardstock (I used Fern), 2¾” x 2¾” Cardstock (I used Fern), 2¾” x 2¾” Gold Glitter Paper, 2″ x 2″ White Daisy Cardstock
Techniques used while creating this project:
- Our retired Art Philosophy cartridge has this box you can cut out to make this project. I found a package of these five-inch boxes at my local dollar store, so I choose to buy them to save a little time. My measurements are based on the box I purchased.
- The Clover was cut from our Flower Market Cricut cartridge at 2¾” high. I cut the background out of New
England Ivy Cardstock, and the leaves out of Fern Cardstock. The leaves were bent in half then adhered to the background using Liquid Glass. NOTE: The gem I used in the center of the Clovers has been retired. - The Scalloped Circle is cut at 2¾” from Fern cardstock, then backed with a 2¾” Gold Glitter background layer to give the appearance of gold gems around the circle.
- The Circle was cut at 1¾” from White Daisy cardstock. I used the writing feature on my Cricut machine with Kunstler Script to create the sentiment. You could also use a stamped images.
